INVOLVING USERS
We are a self-help organisation, run by people with MS for people with MS.
The organisation was set up by a group of people with M.S. and has continued in this way. The Management Committee consists of 12 people, 3 of whom have M.S. themselves and 8 are carers.
We have a number of volunteers working at the Centre, some of whom have MS themselves and we would not be able to operate without them. More volunteers are always very welcome.
Under the regulations of the Healthcare Commission, with which we are registered, we have to continually monitor the services and care provided.
If anyone has a complaint regarding anything appertaining to the Centre, then please speak to the Manager in the first instance, Any complaints should be reported to the Manager, in the first instance, if you are not happy with the outcome then please contact the Chairman or one of the Trustees. All complaints will be taken seriously. In the event of still not getting a satisfactory conclusion you are within your rights to contact either the Charity Commission or the Healthcare Commission (details of both are available on request)
The Healthcare Commission inspect the Centre yearly to ensure that all the facilities, policies and procedures are in place to satisfy the Government’s Private and Voluntary Healthcare Regulations.
