FUNDING
We do ask for a contribution towards the cost of therapies but these are subsidised to a large degree. For those with MS the donation towards oxygen therapy is £5 per session for the initial sessions, thereafter ongoing sessions are £10. For all other conditions the initial sessions are £10 with ongoing sessions £20: Physiotherapy is £5 per session.
We do charge a membership fee - £25 per member per annum, £28 per couple.
As we receive no statutory funding we have to raise all the money to run the Centre, so we do ask for help with our fund raising activities and we hope that you will assist wherever possible. Alternatively if you can raise money on our behalf i.e. coffee mornings, sponsored events or have knowledge of others who raise money for charity we would love to hear from you.
Donations by Standing Order
Donations can be made by Standing Order - print off the form, complete and send it to the Centre.
Gift Aid
If you, or your partner, is a taxpayer then if you sign a gift aid form we can claim an extra 28% on each pound you donate to the Centre or towards treatment. Please ask at the office for information or print off the form, complete and send it to the Centre.
Typical fund raising projects include:-
Sponsored events - Walks, cycle rides, National Snowdon challenge, Three Peaks Challenge. Collections at local supermarkets
Donations from outside organisations etc.
Raising awareness of our work to other local fund raising organisations such as Lions, Round Table, Rotary etc. Providing a speaker to these organisations about the work we are doing through MS people helping themselves encourages them to raise funds for us.
Anthony Fox and colleagues visit the MS Centre during one of their training sessions in readiness for the Three Peaks Challenge on 15th August, 2007 to raise funds for the Centre.
